Role:

 The Support Team Specialist is responsible for assisting the Card Services, Deposit Operations, and Accounting teams as needed to support the completion of daily operational deadlines and goals. Responsibilities include the timely and accurate processing of card disputes, wires, and invoices.

 Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

 E 30% Card Services Functions & Responsibilities: Initiates merchant and fraudulent disputed card transactions with card processor. Records provisional credit according to regulations (Reg E). Reviews disputes daily for maintenance on existing and new disputes. Post general ledger entries for fraud and dispute claims. Completes daily reconciliation of related general ledger accounts.

E 30% Deposit Operations Functions & Responsibilities: Processes incoming and outgoing wire transfers as received. Performs Office of Foreign Assets Control verification on all parties to the wire transfer. Processes return mail by coding accounts with bad address flags and warning. Mails letters to members when new address notifications are received from the post office.

E 30% Accounting Functions & Responsibilities:Performs the daily processing of accounts payable invoices. Task includes the collection and organization of all invoices received, review of each invoice for accuracy and determine the appropriate general ledger expense account(s) for processing, and the distribution to the approving manager. Assist with the daily settlement posting and reconciliation of general ledger suspense clearing accounts including Share Branching, Zelle, and Tax Withholding payments.

N 10% Performs all other duties as assigned.

6.Demonstrates an understanding of, and follow the requirements of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

Experience

One year to three years of similar or related experience.

 

Education

A high school education or GED.

 

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

 

Other Skills

Proficient use in computer skills and computer keyboard by touch. Basic Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel. There is exposure to potential hazardous conditions such as robbery. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to follow in order to minimize risk.
