Classification: Non-Exempt

Role:

Conducts consumer loan quality and risk reviews; provides staff support to ensure that proper loan information is collected to maintain acceptable credit standards conforming with CRCU loan guidelines and policies; disburses loans, completes loan files and secures CRCU lien on collateral. Assists and processes member service requests. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the functions within the Loan Central Department. Adheres to Community Resource Credit Union policies, procedures, and to federal and state laws and regulations.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

 

E 30% Reviews loans to verify the rates/terms, data fields, tracking and records are completed accurately and are compliant with credit union’s loan procedures and policies.

E 15% Reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.

E 15% Processes loan funding by working with member and/or Personal Financial Officer to process third party loan disbursements.

E 25% Prepares and verifies documentation required to record liens on all collateral loans requiring title registration and UCC recording. Responsible to follow up until all liens are perfected on each loan disbursed. Responsible to submit all title transfers to county tax offices.

N 5% Performs other related duties as assigned.

E 5% Responsible to work weekly reports.

E 5% Cross-sells credit union products and services to members

 

Performance Measurements:

1. Reviews loans for data accuracy and documentation compliant with credit unions loan policies and procedures.

2. Secures CRCU liens on all collateral.

3. Cross-sells credit union products and services.

4. Provides superior member services as defined in credit union mission statement.

5. Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.

6. Demonstrates leadership qualities and character.

7. Reviews for opportunities for either expense reduction or process efficiencies with the department

8. Assists in all areas within the Loan Central Department.

9. Employee demonstrates an understanding of, and follows the requirements of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

Experience

One year to three years of similar or related experience.

 

Education

A high school education or GED.

 

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

 

Other Skills

Must have good, verbal and written, communication skills, Must be proficient in computer, 10-key calculator and typewriter skills. Must have knowledge about and have the ability to quickly research lien registration matters concerning multiple county and state requirements.

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
