Role: 

Reporting to the VP of Business Analysis and Strategy this position works as a member of the data analytics department. This position will be responsible for understanding department reporting needs and transforms those needs into accurate, easy to understand outputs. This position will also thoroughly perform analysis based on departmental business needs and construct recommendations to the VP of Business Analysis & Strategy.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

E 30% Develops dashboards, data files, reports, data sets and perform ad hoc reporting tasks.

E 20% Collaborates with departments for scope and process definition.

E 20% Performs analysis and gives business recommendations.

E 20% Performs data validation within reporting.

E 5% Redesigns and streamlines existing reports for efficiency purposes.

N 5% Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Performance Measurements:

 

1. Creates dashboards and reports from large data sets that are easy to understand and stays within scope definition.

2.Communicates and collaborates effectively within all areas of the organization.

3. Meets deadlines.

4. Demonstrates an understanding of, and follows the requirements of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

Experience: 1-3 years of knowledge of T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server is recommended.  Experience creating dashboards and reports using SSRS, Power BI and Excel is desirable.  Understanding SQL relational databases is preferred.  Must be able to construct visualization tools from data to give end users accurate meaningful results.  .

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or relevant financial field or equivalent work experience.

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

 Other Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent skills within Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with financial products and services is desirable.

 Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, talk, and sit.

 Work Environment

Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel. There is exposure to potential hazardous conditions such as robbery. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to follow in order to minimize risk.
